Misbah versus Imran, who is the Better?

Since the PCB Chairman Mr. Shahrayar Khan has called off Misbah Ul Haq the better Captain overall in comparison to the iconic Imran Khan, social media has been taking part in the fuss gathering opinions of who is the better one.

Clearly the results concluded Imran to be the better one on the media firms as he won the social polls by approximately 80-20 margin.  Win, right? Not particularly as people opinions can reflect their taste of likeness and the one they dislike. Likeness can be so embed that it can make one believe it, make them unconsciously neglect the facts and figures and directly state their violin of the heart. Well we are not going to do that as our team has done some research on the statistical analysis of the legends and rank who is the best among these two so you can know if your opinion earlier had influence of your unconscious mind or not.

Imran Khan

Misbah Ul Haq

Became Captain in 2010 – Criticized for defensive – Blamed for 2007 & 2011 finals and semi finals respectively

Calm – Strategist – Most hated Captain of Pakistan’s History

Retiring in 2017 – Test Mace

Khan made his debut in 1971 and soon recognized himself as one of the best all-rounder of all time. The medium pacer become furiously fast, and played his handy role with the bat too. Khan became skipper in 1982 when he was at the peak of his international career energetically as he reached the 30’s . He led his side from bottom to top as he lifted the World Cup in 1992 for his nation. Aside his cricketing career, the well educated, charismatic personality is the fan favourite since the 80’s.  Later he build a Cancer Hospital in the memory of his mother who died due to cancer and stepped into the Pakistani politics, he always has been people’s champ no matter what.

He later announced his political party by the name of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf with a hope to change the fate of his motherland. Imran inspire people of all generations especially the youth of his country. Majority of the youth believes he should become the future Prime Minister of Pakistan.

While Misbah tasted recognition from the hatred. He played number of nail-biting innings throughout the ICC T20 World Cup 2007.  Nearly crossed the finish line to achieve the crown until he was dismissed by playing a scoop which resulted Pakistan’s biggest rivalry India to win the Cup by 5 runs.

Establishing to be one of the most crucial players in the team he was part of the next ICC T20 World Cup winning squad in 2009. The bad luck was not only for the t20 WC, but had an similar story as well in the 2011 ODI Semi Final. Chasing a target below 270 in the semi final against their biggest rivalry India in India, Misbah was the only one who hanged around the crease till the end while the other batting end kept failing. Soon enough he was appointed as the captain in all three formats although he stepped down from the t20 captaincy within a year.

Despite being fighting like a lone warrior his mindset was accused to be defensive. He later retired from the ODI’s in the World Cup 2015 where a simple catch dropped by his team mate cost him the quarter final. However he continued his journey in Test Cricket to make his team reach the Top Test side in world in the ICC rankings under his captaincy later in 2016. This was the first time Pakistan was crowned with the top rank in the Tests in nearly three decades.

While both Misbah and Imran had different eras but one thing that is for sure is their contribution to cricket in their nation. Here are some of the facts and figures between these two legends.

So these statistics makes Mr. Tuk Tuk a better record with a 3-1 margin. We neglected the T20 record for obvious reason and also the fact that media influence of both the times were completely different. In Imran’s time there wasn’t much pressure in comparison to today’s cricket because of the electronic media. One mistake and you are trending by the millions by the ordinary folks on the internet. Proves Mr. Shahrayar was right but no doubt the both are legends. No one can deny their contribution and devotion to the cricket for their nation. They both are national heroes. Neglecting the personal feelings for the super heros Misbah records stand taller than the legendary Imran Khan.
